Insulation
The under slab is prepared with an epdm rubber membrane. The seams are glued and edges anchored to the wall with an aluminum anchor bar and mastic sealant. This insures no moisture or radon gas will ever enter the living space. After membrane was placed a 2 1/2″ thick hydrofoam insulation was installed this product allows you to friction fit all the pex tubing required for the radiant heat system. Hydrofoam eliminates the need for any mesh and tying off of the pex tubing and eliminating the possibility of the pex floating with concrete placement.
