Established in 1960, the City of Palm Bay Utilities Department serves more than 28,000 water and over 13,000 sewer customers annually. The department undertakes various water main line extension projects. It offers water treatment, storage, pumping and distribution services. The City of Palm Bay Utilities Department also provides wastewater collection and transmission services. The department operates several lime softening treatment plants. It offers services for the utilization of reclaimed water to irrigate golf courses, residential landscapes, corporate grounds, agricultural fields, municipal properties and sports fields. In addition, the City of Palm Bay Utilities Department provides structure for implementing various environmental programs. The department is located in Palm Bay, Fla.
