About the wireless network Pacific Grove Public Library provides 802.11b/g wireless service for public Internet access. Internet connection. To protect your privacy and prevent spamming, you will not be able to send outbound email using client software ( Outlook, Eudora, Thunderbird, etc. ) with an unsecured email protocol ( SMTP ) on the wireless network. Full email access is available from Web-based providers only. Printing is not available on the wireless network. If you need to print Web pages, please log into a Library Internet workstation. Library staff cannot help you set up, configure, or troubleshoot your wireless hardware and software ; however, Reference staff can suggest books, classes and other resources that may assist you. The wireless network is not encrypted. Other wireless users may intercept any information you send or receive using the wireless network, and web-based security controls may not be sufficient protection. Therefore, the Library recommends that you do not enter credit card numbers, passwords, or other personally identifiable information.
