My husband and I painted here - we have painted before at other shops and this is one of the best. Good location (plenty of parking, restaurant and ice cream shop next door, easy to find) and the store has great light, a terrific and helpful but not hovering staff and SUPER QUICK return of finished pieces. We painted on a busy day and they had plenty of room and patience, A good selection of pieces to paint - and very affordable. Use pretty things that YOU made - you deserve everyday beauty

Ceramic Cafe is NOT JUST for kids'parties---who knew?! Not I, until last week, when ten of us ladies (to be sure) found it a great new venue for getting together. It's a cheerful storefront studio in Ranchmart shopping center at Mission Rd. and 95th St. We met for lunch there, a tasty salad or sandwich, brownie and beverage of choice, catered by Dean & Deluca. This was followed by unlimited create-your-own design time, although most of us had just another hour to spare. We each picked out a piece of either clay pottery (e.g., plate;platter;bowl;petite box w/ lid;tray;picture frame;cup&saucer;seasonal pumpkin w/lid;ETC.) OR a glass project, including jewelry, such as a personalized glass pendant. When we needed direction during the creative process, experts Sara and Jan were on the spot to help. Then, when we finished our design/painting, Sara and Jan took them to fire up, ready in a few days for us to collect and display or gift wrap. Prices for adult groups are $8. a person and receive 10% discount on all pottery. Otherwise adult painters pay $7.50 for unlimited studio time. Firing fee is $1-$2 per item. Sara and Jan also offer classes and workshops. The studio is open daily, including late to 9pm Wed. thru Fri.
