        VCA Ponti Animal Hospital was established in 1977 for the treatment and care of a diverse population of animals and wildlife in the greater Spokane and Idaho Panhandle areas. In 1999, a modern 6000+ sq. ft. facility was built for small animal, exotic pet, and wildlife to better meet the needs of our clients. We offer optimal veterinary care with a broad spectrum of diagnostics through in-house testing and external laboratories. We work closely with local referral practices when specialized diagnostic procedures are required. Our facility includes a well-stocked pharmacy, in-hospital surgery suite, in-house digital x-ray and ultrasound, a closely supervised hospitalization area, and indoor boarding kennels with outdoor exercise areas.

        Overall

        The care is quite good but the thing that made me leave Ponti and go to another clinic was the up-selling. I always went in knowing what I needed and was pretty picky about any extra shots or services they told me I "needed." The two times i sent my husband in with the animals, he had a minimum of $100 in extra shots, accessories, or services that i was not prepared to pay for. I told them many times that we were on a tight budget and that never was a concern to them. I knew I was paying higher prices for the convenience of location and the mostly good care, but it just got to be too expensive.

        This is the only place I will ...

        This is the only place I will take my animals for treatment. They do not give you the run around like other clinics. They are all very nice and are interested in giving you animal the best treatment they can, along with keeping you informed. Though they may seem a bit more expensive than other clinics, in the long run they save you money because they aren't interested in doing what isn't necessary. Highly recommend all of the Vets and staff of Ponti Veterinary Hospital!

        Great Practice

        We Love going to Ponti Vet Clinic and our pets love going there too. Everyone is so nice and professional. Dr. Jamie Engstrom is caring about our animals and always ready to answer any questions or concerns we may have.
