        Convenient when the local optometrist isn't

        I have had experiences good and bad with local optometrists, but 1-800-CONTACTS is always convenient. Sometimes the local guys prices are reasonable, sometimes they're not, sometimes they're service is good, sometimes it's HORRID, but as I've lived in 5 different cities coast to coast, 1-800-Contacts is consistantly there, I know what toexpect, and they will deliver to my location if I have an emergancy out of town (when the local guys won't sell you even 1 pair of disposables without charging for an eye exam!). I'll keep using this service to "fill in the gaps" when local OD's don't ahve my Rx in stock (+6.50), or don't have my brand, or won't sell me lenses without transferring records, etc, etc...

        The prices are not that good, and they don't leave you alone. Very annoying! Keep your money local!!

        The prices are not any better than my local eye doctor and the service is annoying. Call or email them once and they don't leave you alone. Besides, why send your money out of your neighborhood? Admittedly I am a Main Street supporter- if everyone spent their money in their neighborhood, your neighborhood would be much better off. So, maybe the best price isn't really the most important thing. Keep your money local! Take a look at all the "very satisfied" ratings- I bet they are in Utah where the company is based!

        I LOVE 1-800 CONTACTS! Never a problem they couldn't "make right." Online ordering is fast and convenient. Rebates make it even better.
