Simply the best! Such a beautiful salon full of beautiful people who care about their clients. Theresa has been cutting my parents' hair for years and also mine, when in town. She is quick, efficient and her work is FLAWLESS every time. On top of that, she is a wonderful person to be around! I can't say enough good things about Stylin' salon.
Do not go to Jenn O. Her time is far more important than the end result of your hair. She has done irreparable damage to my hair. She failed as a "professional" and did not put my hair as a priority. Jenns main focus that day was her precious time. She complained the entire time about how long it was taking. I had naturally curly hair but 5 months later my hair is so damaged all I have is dry straw. I've gone to several better stylists since, looking for help and none of them(3) have ever seen anything so bad. At this point I'm considering shaving my head. Nothing bad about the salon itself, so go. But please save your hair and do NOT sit in Jenn Os chair.
Do NOT come here. I came in for my appointment at 6 to get my hair dyed black with a tint of purple. I worked with Mindy, who was supposed to be one of the most experienced stylists. She ratted random parts of my hair into knots, bleached them and burned my scalp in the process. Once I told her I had an intense burning on my scalp she quickly argued that she didn't burn me and spoke to me with a snooty attitude. Then she began to put in the hints of purple (by now it had been 2 hours and we weren't even half way) that is until she ran out of dye, left me in her chair for about 30 minutes, so she could go to the store to buy more, she came back empty handed, because they had closed. She continued to act unsure in how to do her job, but luckily there was another stylist there to jump in and I told her to take over. Mindy made it obvious that she wasn't pleased to have me not want her working on my hair anymore. When the other stylist began to dye it all completely black (to mask her coworkers mistakes) Mindy grabbed the other half of my hair (without gloves) and began throwing on the black dye carelessly, so carelessly that she got it on my lips, in my ear, a little in my left eye, and all over the side of my face. Once she was done with that side her coworker kindly told her that she'd finish it off. Throughout the rest of the appointment Mindy was in and out of the salon and ate at one of the stations. (really, in front of customers? Her lack of professionalism baffled me) the manager was kind enough to only charge me 1/5 of the price, because of the circumstances, but after a long 4 hour appointment I finally left unsatisfied and disappointed with my hair. I will never come back and I will make sure to tell all my friends and family to never come to this salon, so long as they have a hairstylist who doesn't know what she's doing and doesn't understand professionalism.
I'm always pleased when I come here. Excellent price, especially on their discount day (Tues. or Wed.; I can't remember), and my kids' hair looks GREAT. This is the only place I take my boys.
I love the warm atmosphere, and the prices can't be beat for the wonderful outcome you get.
