Hillside Training Stables

I have been to lots of stables over the years, both as a child and now as an adult and mom of a horse lover child. This stable is the BEST for kids... the instructors are experienced with children as young as three years old. They have a lot of knowledge regarding horses and teach their students to love and care for them. They teach the children to respect and be responsible for caring for an animal, the kids learn to stick with it and not give up after the first attempt. They have a well rounded riding program with the kids and give them lots of encouragement. My daughter's grades and attention span at school has improved since she's been riding here! But most of all, they teach them good horsemanship and how to have just plain fun. The stable is well maintained year round, clean and attractive. Even in the winter when it has been raining, even though the arenas and corrals have mud in them, the footing is safe and dries quickly. The horses are so kind and gentle and I feel my child is very safe around them. The boarders are friendly to us and helpful if they see we need something. The stable is very accomodating to our needs and time constraints and adjusts the lesson times when needed. My daughter has made friends from here and can't wait to come back for her next lesson. The whole experience is very positive! I am looking forward to having her attend the Summer Camp program this year for the first time. She has already asked me if she can have her birthday party here as well.
