Boys & Girls Clubs of Omaha is a member agency of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, the United Way of the Midlands and the Nonprofit Association of the Midlands is located in Omaha, Neb. Its education and career development program enables youth to become proficient in basic education disciplines and apply learning to everyday situations. Its health and life skills program develops young people's capacity to engage in positive behaviors that nurture their own well-being, set personal goals and live successfully as self-sufficient adults. Its arts program enables youth to develop their creativity and cultural awareness through knowledge and appreciation of the visual arts, crafts, performing arts and creative writing. Its sports, fitness and recreation program develops fitness, positive use of leisure time, skills for stress management, appreciation for the environment and social skills.
