Wheat State Pizza

Unfortunately, I had the displeasure of eating at the Wheat State Pizza in Olathe. We walked in at 5:00, ordered at 5:05 and received our pizza, which was for dine in, at 6:20. Thats right, it took 1 hour and 15 minutes for 1 large pizza. We were told when we ordered that our wait would be 10 to 15 minutes. What happened?? When we walked in to the restaurant at 5:00 pm we were the only ones in the entire restaurant. Around 5:30, others started to come in and order. While waiting, the man that I assume was the manger, offered others free drinks while they waited. We were never offered free drinks even though we waited an hour and 15 minutes. When the manager finally brought us our pizza he stated that someone placed our pizza in a to go box instead of bringing it out to us. Never did we recieve an apology for our food taking so long nor did we even get offered compensation for our horrible customer service. This place is a joke.

Went to Wheat State Pizza for my daughter's bday. Read the great reviews and thought we'd try it. Went on a Sunday late in the afternoon/early evening. The place was completely empty and that should have been a clue. The customer service was non existent. The guy behind the counter was very rude and kept disappearing in the back, making us stand at the counter numerous times for a long time. They only had one brand of beer available, and actually ran out of plates and forks, and we were the only 9 ppl in the place! When the salad was brought, the lettuce looked like it had just been ripped up into massive pieces, the tomatoes were half cut, and half still whole, same with the green peppers. It looked like a 5 year old had tried to chop it up and it was just thrown on the plate. He brought the pizzas out and didn't even put them on our table, but on the table next to us, just throwing them down and not saying a word. The whole time we were there he acted like we were completely bothering him by being there! Mine and mine sons' pizzas were okay, but my husband and my daughter ordered the Taco Pizza and it was horrible! The guy behind the counter lost the only pen on the counter and I actually had to give him one of mine out of my purse! One thing after another, and we will never be back! The only thing positive, was the one other guy in the back making pizzas came out when we were leaving and thanked us for coming in and was nice about it.

I'm now a wheat state pizza supporter. I heard mixed reviews. some people loved it and some hated it. I found that a lot of kids hated it because they had it in the Olathe schools and the quality when they delivered it to the schools diminished it because kids would get it a couple hours after it was made. But I finally tried it for myself when i got a coupon and am now hooked. Wheat handtossed meat pizza is what i can't get enough of. I recommend to anybody.

Loved the wheat and white crusts, especially the whole wheat thin that is healthier. Was a little overwhelmed by how many ingredients and sauces they have but loved the look inside and will order from home next time since they deliver too!!! Cute number, 764-PZZA
