Worst experience ever. Matt was hired to assist on a case I was eventually cleared on. The incompetence level of this firm is beyond the pale. In addition, there was an actual clerical error on the side of Matt and his firm that resulted in an arrest warrant and a subsequent arrest after Matt specifically told me court was cancelled. It was not and I was stuck paying the price. Why would my attorney, who's literal job it is to represent the client and obtain the fairest outcome possible, allow this to happen?? Matt is not interested in finding out why I went to jail. There is no sense of urgency with this guy. He simply doesn't seem to care and I think the problem is he was paid up front. We have a contract together that specifies Matt is responsible for certain things. Matt has failed at every step. Matt will also ignore your phone calls. I've pulled my phone reports from my phone provider and have documented all my calls. There is also documentation of inbound calls. The ratio is 22:1. That is absolutely horrible, horrible customer service and don't believe anyone reading this would think this is acceptable business practice. This situation is so bad, Matt isn't even sure which agency has my property because I've spoken to other law enforcement officials who told me where my property is being held and this is different than what Matt has told me, so he doesn't even know. I've tried to call him to tell him this but he never calls me back. It's his role to fulfill his end of the contract and hiring Matt was the worst decision I've made. I really recommend avoiding Bartlett and Webster at all costs. With lawyers as expensive as they are for the average person, I absolutely expect these people to bend over backwards for their clients and provide the best customer service available. You won't receive good service with Matt Bartlett.

I've been working with John webster for several months now on a custody case and he was absolutely awesome. He was always quick to respond to any questions I had and was 100 percent always on my side. I have dealt with one other attorney that just wanted me to give up it seemed like. John was not like that. He fought and fought and put up with my constant emails and questions. We ended up settling in mediation instead of it having to drug out for evaluation and I accredit that to John. I would recommend him to anyone. I couldn't have been more satisfied.
If you are involved in a DCFS case and this lady has been assigned as your public defender ... RUN! Ask for a new PD immediately. She told me and several other people I have talked with , not to take their cases to trial because " It will only make the judge mad." In my case this has resulted in a 2 year torture by DCFS and the family courts. She is garbage!
