Established in 1981, the Oakland Center for Holistic Counseling is a mental health care facility that offers counseling services to a range of ethnic and socioeconomic communities of the East Bay. It provides counseling services for issues related to life transitions, family conflicts, parenting and spiritual crises. The facility also offers counseling services for anxiety, stress, depression, trauma, relationship problems, and chronic pains and illnesses. It conducts several therapy groups that focus on creativity, intimacy and women's issues, as well as provides medical assistance for incest and sexual abuse issues. Located in Oakland, Calif., the Oakland Center for Holistic Counseling is a part of the John F. Kennedy University, which was established in 1965.
