General Info: Tech/Ops Sevcon is organized into two business segments: Sevcon manufactures electric motor controllers and system components for battery-powered vehicles, and ICW manufactures special metallized film capacitors for electronics applications. These capacitors are used as components in the power electronics, signaling and audio equipment markets. Sevcon markets these products to a global customer base that ranges from forklift truck manufacturers to electric scooter manufacturers. ICW is located in the United Kingdom. Founded in 1968, Tech/Ops Sevcon also has subsidiaries in Tokyo, Paris and Seoul, Korea. Tech/Ops Sevcon does not offer a direct stock purchase plan. Tech/Ops Sevcon common stock can be bought or sold through a financial institution that provides brokerage services. The Sevcon segment, located in Scarborough, Mass., produces AC controllers, DC controllers, electric steering systems, pump motors, displays and gauges, battery chargers and DC converters.
