Dr. McVey went on to earn her Doctor of Optometry and Master of Science Degree at The Ohio State University College of Optometry in Columbus, Ohio. She also completed a fellowship in binocular vision and pediatrics at The Ohio State University College of Optometry, and served as an instructor in the College of Optometry. Dr. McVey has donated her time to performing eye exams and dispensing glasses and eye drops in Nicaragua.

Prior to joining Center For Sight, Dr. Vollmer worked in academia at Nova Southeastern University for 16 years, holding the rank of Professor, where she served as an Attending Physician in the Primary Care and Diabetes and Macula Clinics. She also served in college administration as the Director of Residency Programs for the College of Optometry for 13 years, mentoring and supervising residents. Her classroom teaching experience included a course in Nutrition and Ocular Health as well as guest lectures in anterior and posterior segment ocular disease.

Shannon’s previous work experience as a Physician Assistant includes urgent care and family medicine environments, where she was responsible for providing healthcare for patients of all ages. Additionally, prior to her Physician Assistant studies, Shannon worked as a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant at Center For Sight. She is thrilled to see her career path lead her back to Center For Sight to work in the newly established AMARA dermatology practice.

Dr. Berlie completed his undergraduate training at the University of Victoria in British Columbia, Canada and the California State University of San Bernardino where he received the California State University of San Bernardino Research Scholarship Award. He then attended Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska where he graduated Cum Laude, was elected as Class President, and received the Senior of the Year Award. He completed his internship in internal medicine also at Creighton University Medical Center.

The Laser and Surgical Services at Center For Sight, L.L.C. schedules patient care when your physician schedules a procedure for you at this surgery center. We only schedule procedures at this facility by physicians who are on the medical staff at the facility. The facility has one fee that covers the following items:, nursing, technician and related services; use of the facility; testing for certain lab tests performed at the surgery center such as glucose (blood sugar), pregnancy, and hemoglobin; medications administered before, during and after your surgery while in the facility; surgical supplies used by the physician and staff; equipment used in the facility; surgical dressings; implants except those specifically classified as premium implants that require additional patient payment.
