G.D USA Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of G.D Bologna, Italy, which is one of the leaders in tobacco making and packing machines. The subsidiary was established in 1978 to support Virginia s growing tobacco industry. Operating from its 130,000 square foot facility with 170 employees, the company offers a complete range of production equipment for the cigarette manufacturing segment, such as the midspeed 121 and the new generation 121P. G.D USA Inc. has also launched the Automatic Brand Change (ABC) system to cut losses in productivity. This system also reduces product waste by handling cigarettes gently and consistently. G.D USA Inc. was the first company to introduce the double-rod concept in manufacturing cigarettes.
