Horrible experience with Dr. Corey Allen & the practice. If i had time to research him more & realize he has no experience, i would have gone to someone else. I live in Mt Pleasant, was referred by a doctor at East Cooper Hospital to this doctor way out in N. Chas, even though there are several great urologists within a mile from my house & the hospital. When i found out where it was located, i asked them if there was a urologist in Mt Pleasant & they told me "No, i need to come to them". I was in excruciating pain, so i drove the 40 minutes there. I will not explain my entire experience, but they were horrible, Dr. Allen did not know what he was doing as was confirmed when i switched to a real experienced urologist for my followup. Charleston Urologists are great, know what they are doing & run a Kidney Stone Facility at Roper Hospital downtown. See Allen Fogel or any of his associates, not this quack.

He is not only a good doctor, whom I trust completely with my life, and who is extremely thorough and knowledgeable, but who is a genuinely nice man. You can't go wrong with Dr. Ploch.

I would strongly discourage any parent from bringing their child to this office for a circumcision. We took my son there to be circumcised by Dr. Joseph Allen. At our inital follow up appointment (10 days post-op), he said we should follow up in 4 months for a skin tag that he hypothesized would resolve itself. At our 4 month follow up appointment, not only had the skin tag not resolve, but also Dr. Allen said my son would need a second circumcision. He did not explain why this happened or apologize for not properly performing the circumcision in the first place. Dr. Allen only took a few minutes to discuss this with me. I then received a bill for this appointment that was very high. When I called the office, the office did not offer to help resolve the issue and merely told me to call my insurance company and only after a lengthy discussion did they say they would speak with Dr. Allen and follow up with me.



As a mom, I regret going to Palmetto Adult and Children's Urology and selecting Dr. Allen. I am very upset that my son needs a second circumcision and I am appalled with Palmetto Adult and Children's Urology's management of this situation.

He truly listened to what I had to say. He gently talked me through a very uncomfortable procedure;treated me with professional courtesy.

Dr. Ploch answered all our questions no matter how many times we asked the same ones. My husband was treated very well by the staff at Dr. Ploch's office. He explained every test and procedure. He made sure we were fully informed. His staff was very professional, considerate, pleasant and extremely thorough and competent.

My father was taken to the hospital in an emergency situation. He was critically ill with a myriad of symptoms that required several doctors involvement. Although he was not Dr. Ploch's patient, he took the case. My father was diagnosed, given all the necessary information, given the proper medication. Dr. Ploch came in and explained everything to us. Absolutely professional, caring and concerned.

Dr. Ploch is very relaxed, not is a rush, open to any & all questions, could not be more professional, and is a very good health care provider. Supported by a very cooperative and helpful staff, who have been there for several years, I always leave the office very satisfied.
