For us, spring sees a reduction of emergency service work and heating system installation. It’s the perfect time to keep our service technicians busy with important annual maintenance and tune-up work.
Heating System Service/Repair
Recently we have received several calls from people who are having problems with their heating systems but buy their oil from discount companies. We would very much like to help them, but being so busy serving our own customers, we have been unable to do so. Our customers are our first priority. Fall is the busiest time of year for all of us in the heating business, because it’s the time most people remember they have a heating system that probably needs service. I have blogged recently about why, if you buy your oil from Crowley Fuel, spring and summer are better times for heating system maintenance. Anytime is a good time to change to a full-service company and start getting quality heating oil delivered to your storage tank, but spring and summer are particularly good to get your heating system properly serviced and prepared for another heating season.
Boiler Installation/Replacement
No matter what kind of set up you have, we can custom fit the correct solution for your home. High efficiency NTI Boiler installed in Spring of 2016.
If you have had to get your oil heating system serviced or “cleaned” more than once a year, chances are your oil burner is not getting enough outside air. The fix for this situation is to install ductwork and fittings that attach directly to the oil burner’s air intake or to connect ductwork to a ducted fan that brings in air whenever the oil burner(s) come on. I will be happy to visit the home of any customer or potential customer who would like an evaluation of the outside air or other heating-related conditions.
