VERY DANGEROUS COMPANY!! I had Tycon Medical as my wheelchair supplier and maintainer. I recently had the back of my chair break causing me to fall back through it and to the ground. They sent someone out to fix it. The guy "fixed" my chair. Within a week of his "repairs," the back broke again. I called them on a Friday saying I needed emergency repairs. They said they would discuss it in their Monday morning meeting. They called back Monday saying they couldn't get a technician out to me until Thursday. The tech (Danny) came out again Thursday. He blamed the fact that three bolts breaking causing the back to fail and me to go through it was in fact my fault, the paraplegic who relies on the chair to get anywhere and everywhere. He then said that he "doesn't sh** parts" and therefore couldn't fix it today. I fired him. The incompetence of Tycon Medical is mind boggling. That they get away with it is criminal. Protect yourself from serious physical harm...don't go with Tycon Medical!
