As a parent and practitioner I understand how challenging infant and childhood health issues can be on a family. Recurrent health issues such as head and chest colds, sinus and ear infections, asthma, allergies, food sensitivities, ADHD, sleep and digestive issues are common among compromised immune systems. Pediatric health is highly responsive to chiropractic treatment. I work with parents and their children to fully understand their collective history and address chronic health issues. Many children are started on antibiotics at a very early age, which compromises their digestive systems and lends itself to a variety of food sensitivities and further health issues. Chiropractic is an alternative option that often provides vast relief in a completely non-pharmaceutical and non-invasive way.

The initial consultation with Dr. Shaw will include a preliminary screening and comprehensive history intake to determine the nature of the condition and the level of follow-up that needs to be done. Dr. Shaw may order imaging, such as X-Ray or MRI, and laboratory testing. The follow-up will include review and analysis of these key components, as well as a manual physical examination for further diagnostics. “I went to Dr. Shaw for the first time, because I had a shoulder pain that would not go away, even after taking orthopedist prescribed medication and a couple months of physical therapy. Every time I went back to the orthopedist he said, well, just continue taking these pills and the therapy and I will see you in a month. After two weeks of sessions with Dr. Shaw, the pain was nearly all gone and I regained the ability to use my shoulder. My treatment continues and I feel better and better every week. My shoulder feels great, my fatigue level is down, my mood is better. I was so confident in Dr. Shaw’s ability after he helped me, I now have both my children and my wife going to him. We go to the office for our visits together every week. They have books and toys to keep the kids busy while we wait. They are extremely accommodating when a hectic family walks into the office.
