The people that work there are nice and helpful. This review has no bearing on the people that work there, but the owners decision to rape their customers. Know the Newton location is not a True NAPA store. It is independently owned by folks in Illinois that apparently are greedy. When they took over they raised the prices for all. They can get above MSRP prices. I no longer support this local business as I've found I can drive to Des Moines NAPA store on Douglas and get things 25 to 50% less! Check your prices online and compare for your self. Newton is ripping people off. Example: Priced shocks for my pickup at $107 at Newton. That's each. They are $62 at Des Moines. X that by 4 for my pick up. Rear drums had a difference of $20 each. I'll drive to Des Moines for that savings, only 25 min away. Another example last year was an axle. A savings of $200 by getting in Des Moines store. A power steering high pressure hose had a $25 difference. My recent visit yesterday to Des Moines NAPA had a savings of $280.00 over the Newton location. The owners should be ashamed of themselves. Greedy is what you are. I hope lots of people read this before buying at your store and you loose business. Go back to Illinois where you might get those Chicago Prices. What's worse is the local repair shops that buy from this NAPA don't get any better of a deal. And when fixing your car, those higher prices go on your repair bill! I've noted the other auto store in town has raised their prices. Why not when their competitor has done so. I think this could be considered price fixing, taking advantage of the consumer and will write a letter to Tom Miller, attorney general in Iowa.
