He has been specifically trained in surgery, diabetic foot and wound care, sports medicine, diseases of the skin and nails, neurological diseases, as well as bone and muscle abnormalities of the foot and ankle.

Born and raised in Los Angeles County, Dr. Rhodes excelled in multiple sports and played Division I college baseball throughout his undergraduate studies. He has previously attended Syracuse University and the University of California at Irvine, where he completed his undergraduate education with two degrees: a bachelor of science in biological sciences and a bachelor of arts in anthropological studies. His medical studies were completed at the California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco, where he became a member of the Pi Delta National Honor Society for academic excellence while attending medical school.
