Don’t be intimidated by the name, IBT is simply health coaching for weight loss. If your body mass index (BMI) is greater than 30 kg/m2 (obese), then you qualify for this service. You are able to meet with one of our health coaches who are trained in nutrition, exercise, and lifestyle management. Your health coach will help you navigate through your weight loss journey. We will not prescribe a specific “diet,” but we will engage in exploring what works best for you and your lifestyle, guiding you through positive changes that can last a lifetime. Your IBT sessions will start with more frequent visits, gradually adding more time between visits. Medicare and Medicare Advantage plans cover 22 visits per year at 100%. Some private insurances will also cover IBT.
