General Info
Neary's opened on St. Patrick's Day 1967 and proudly remains one of the most well-known Irish restaurants in New York. Jimmy Neary, New York's finest host, welcomes everyone in the door with his great smile and charming personality. Jimmy is an extraordinary owner. He turned 88 in September 2018 and still works 7 days a week. Neary's is frequently mentioned on the Today Show with Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb and has been mentioned in over 25 of Mary Higgins Clark's suspense novels. In March 2018, a documentary entitled "A Dream at the End of the Rainbow", produced and directed by famed sports photographer and documentarian, Neil Leifer, aired on PBS. It beautifully depicted Jimmy achieving the American dream. Neary's signature dishes include the lamb chops, prime rib of beef, corned beef and cabbage and the broiled 1/2 chicken. In addition, there is a fine selection of daily delivered fresh fish. The Irish coffee and homemade rice pudding are a must for dessert.Neary's opened on St. Patrick's Day 1967 and proudly remains one of the most well-known Irish restaurants in New York.
