I had a wheel of my carry on luggage replaced by the Modern Luggage about 6 months ago. It didn't last, but the service was quick, the people seemed knowledgable although loud. Since the same wheel broke again after just 2 uses, I called them to find out if they would repair it again. The person on the phone told me to bring it. Unfortunately, since my last visit, they have renovated the space and...downgraded their service by 100%. The African American man demanded that I first gave him the reference number from the manufacturer. I explained that I didn't have it, I had just called and nobody mentioned any ref. number to me. He arrogantly replied: " Who said that? Maybe you called another place?..." He was exceptionally rude, didn't look at me during the entire conversation which was even more shocking after he proudly claimed he WAS a manager (!). (I guess he did well for himself, considering...) Meanwhile he wrote down the item number from the label inside the luggage which I could have provided over the phone without a need to carry the heavy piece for half a day (without a wheel it doesn't roll). I am not sure if he would really call me when the part comes in as I made it clear that I didn't like the way he treated customers. What I'm sure of is that I will go to another place for repairs - the one that knows how the business functions. Cheers to THE manager!
