Of all the 26 bones in the human foot, the heel bone (calcaneus) is the largest. It helps form the heel—which also includes thick connective tissue under the bone (fat pad) and a fluid-filled bursa sac (retrocalcaneal) near the back of the heel. This reduces friction and assists movement of the Achilles tendon over the bone where it attaches.

He genuinely cares about helping his patients feel better. He spent a lot of time making and perfecting the perfect orthotics for me to ensure I would be able to walk with as much comfort as possible before getting the foot surgery I need (which I am trying to push off for a little while longer at this time). He is easily accessible and very accommodating. I would HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend it.
