The New Harmony Theatre, situated on the banks of the Wabash River in southwestern Indiana. Historic New Harmony is home to The New Harmony Theatre, operating under an Actors' Equity Association, League of Resident Theatres contract. New Harmony Theatre is produced by the University of Southern Indiana. Its past productions include A Midsummer Night's Dream , A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum , The Golden Age , Orpheus Descending , and Stardust . New Harmony Theatre conducts a national search for theatre professionals. It also leases apartments owned and operated by the University of Southern Indiana to ensure that company members have modern and well-maintained housing. The New Harmony Theatre also has large print programs and infrared hearing devices available. The New Harmony Theatre is located in Evansville, Ind.
