Incorporated 1930, the New Alexandria Volunteer Fire Department works to provide fire prevention and suppression and emergency medical services. It is comprised of more than 15 administrative and line officers and board of trustees. The department utilizes a fleet of engines, ladders, brush trucks, tankers and rescue vans. The New Alexandria Volunteer Fire Department operates a communication center that coordinates responses to various fire and medical emergency and nonemergency calls for service. It provides various employment opportunities to citizens. The department is located in New Alexandria, Pa.
