Originally founded as Allan s Blacksmith and Welding in 1888, ALMACO is a manufacturer of specialized agricultural research equipment. The company provides servicing and modifications of older ALMACO products and sells more than 40 models of equipment, including planters and grain drills; threshers and shellers; seed analyzers, packagers and data-capture systems; and combines for research plots. The company s products receive sales representation throughout the United States, as well as in Argentina, Australia, Brazil, China, France, India, Italy and the United Kingdom. The company s worldwide distributor is the Seedburo Equipment Company of Chicago. ALMACO employs more than 90 people and is headquartered in Nevada, Iowa.
