Overall

I absolutely love this dentist. The staff are very pleasant and Dr. Selvig is very knowledgeable and good with children. My daughter, Niece, and Nephew go here which is the second generation to be seen here. Not one bad thing to be said!

A thorough exam will be done to evaluate the health of your child’s teeth, gums and mouth. One of our doctors will evaluate your child’s growth and development and check to make sure your child’s oral development is on track. Our office will make child-specific recommendations for the need of sealants, fluoride and other services based on your child’s individual needs and habits.

Crowns
Dr. Ryan Shaw has been our family’s pediatric dentist for eight years. I am continually impressed by his knowledge of dentistry and his overall understanding of children. Dr. Shaw is kind, compassionate, and talented. My son was nervous about having a crown put on his tooth. Dr. Shaw and his staff talked my son through the procedure and showed him the instruments and tools they would be using. My son was smiling and relaxed by the time Dr. Shaw began the procedure. Because of his extensive experience, Dr. Shaw was able to complete the procedure quickly and thoroughly. We are very grateful to have Dr. Shaw as our family dentist. I highly recommend Dr. Shaw and his staff to any family in search of a pediatric dentist. Although we have moved out of the area, we continue to drive to Dr. Shaw’s office because of the extraordinary level of quality care we receive. Thank you, Dr. Shaw! !
Restorative Dentistry
A children’s dental specialist like Dr. Shaw is a practitioner who, after becoming a general dentist (often called a family dentist), has completed an additional two years of post-doctoral training in the recognition and treatment of children’s dental services. Specialty education includes child psychology, behavior guidance, preventive techniques, restorative dentistry, orthodontics, sedation dentistry, and the treatment of children with special needs. Both of our doctors are certified pediatric dental specialists.

Orthodontics
Dr. Nandita Pearce began her undergraduate studies at the University of Pittsburgh and then she attended Georgetown University School of Dentistry in Washington, D.C. In 1989, she received her D.M.D from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. A three year Orthodontic Residency then began at Temple University School of Dentistry where she earned her Certificate of Specialty in Orthodontics as well as a Masters of Science in Oral Biology and a Masters of Science in Dentistry, in 1992.
