EDIT: After a while, the owner contacted me, and did agree to come back and seal the pavers, They also came out and replaced some plants that didn't quite make it over the winter, which I give them points for, considering they probably aren't too happy with me as a client at this point. So the work is now complete, but a large headache and time spent filling out as many bad reviews as I could online to get to this point leaves them with a "C" overall in my mind.

ORIGINAL: I cannot even really put into words how terrible it was to work with this company. Chris the project manager came out to do a site survey, and we worked with her to decide what we wanted done. Then the day they showed up, she must not have taken any notes, because she didn't remember anything we had talked about, and we had to go over it all again, as she said "I forgot.". Not a good sign, but what can you do at this point?

Work then started and everything seemed to be going ok until that evening. When we tried to run the sprinkler system, we found they had cut one of the main lines next to the house, covered some other heads with dirt, and drove the bobcat over some other heads, ruining those. We only discovered this after they had left and we went to water our new landscaping. So at 6pm after work I am up to my elbows in mud trying to shut off a mudslide because they didn't test before they left.

We were leaving out of town in 2 days, and obviously needed the system fixed before we could do that. After not hearing back from Chris all day, we finally sent an email letting them know we would use our own sprinkler vendor to fix it, and deduct that from the bill. That finally got a response out of her, but they barely made it out to fix the issue before we left.

Also, our contract included tearing out all the rock in the front and side of the house, but we noticed on the side of the house they were simply covering the rock with mulch. When we asked Chris about this, she said "that was never included." Here is an excerpt from the contract: Remove front existing raised planters and all existing edging, rock and plantings. Area around front trees and shrubs on sides of home will be included in the tear-out. I should mention that not only does the contract say remove ALL existing rock, but we also have shrubs going all the way from front to back on the side of the house in question. At this point i was so stressed out, i simply gave in, and said ok when Chris told me they would not remove the rock, but would just turn the dirt over and put some extra mulch down. They really did a half-a** job on that too.

Not 5 minutes after the last guy left we received an email from Chris saying that payment was due in full TODAY. 5 minutes after the last guy left! Not a courteous email, or call asking if there was anything else, but a curt, demanding email for payment, even after all the mistakes that had been made. I asked about sealing the pavers, since we had discussed that with Chris, and she replied "We can’t seal for a few months until silica migrates out." So i left it at that, and cut them a check for the full amount, really more just to get them out of my hair since I really couldn't deal with the stress any further. So here we are about a month down the road, and i inquired about an issue with a pop-up gutter, and when they were coming back to finish the sealing of the pavers. They told me to dig the gutter out myself and fix it. Also told me they were now going to cahrge me if i wanted them to seal the pavers, something that had been never been mentioned until they got their check from us.

Let me start off by saying the worst part about this, is that it was a referral. If this is how they treat referral customers, I would hate to see how they treat their normal customers. I cannot even really put into words how terrible it was to work with this company. Sloppy work, rude, damage to property, bait ansd switch billing and quoting, just to name a few problems
