Last year my son was in the third grade his teacher told me that he was behind in reading and math. He never wanted to read out loud and I could tell the grades he was getting made him upset. She told me that if I went to Sylvan that they would tell me exactly why and set up a plan just for him. When we went to sylvan they told me that they could help and they did. He went to Sylvan for six months. I met with Dana and Nacy the directors all the time. They talked to his teacher and helped with his homework. Now he loves to read and can do his math homework all by himself. My son is now in the fourth grade and is getting A's and B's. I highly reccomend Sylvan.

Sylvan was very expensive and the results were not what we expected. My son worked in a group with two other students. They told me he would get "individual" attention, but he didn't! After 2 months, his grades had not improved. We decided to go to Appleton and the results were amazing. In a month, my son's grades had turned around and we spent a lot less money. I always tell people if they need tutoring, you should go to Appleton...NOT Sylvan.

From our first visit, my wife and I knew Sylvan was the right place for our granddaughter. Mr. Jeff Smith is more like a family friend. He and the staff truly care about helping the kids and it shows in the results. My granddaughter hated school at the end of last year. Now she can't wait for the first day of school. Sylvan really works.

The Sylvan Staff is awesome! Our son is challenging. School is not important to him. Although I did not see improvement in school, I do see him reading more. I took my child in to Sylvan to get him help with reading. The folks at the center did not know what they were doing. I was very disappointed.

We called Sylvan when our son was having problems writing, but they do not give any specific handwriting or penmanship help. The do testing. My friend had a child with adhd and Sylvan helped a good bit. His grades went way up.

The folks at Sylvan strive to truly give personalized service to students who need some help with their education. They are kind and helpful, and will work to find the one tip that works best for the student. A great facility with wonderful people.

I can't thank them enough, Sylvan gave my daughter the help she needed to get caught up. The staff was wonderful.
