Mr. Sutherland was very helpful and helped my family from Mexico. He found family we could not find and my case did not have to go to court. He did everything good for us.

By far the BEST lawyer around. I am really happy with results. We had a long, tedious case but Parke Sutherland was aggressive and got the job DONE.

Mr Sutherland was hired by my parents several years ago and now my entire family uses his services. He is very professional. I read previous reviews and can only say that when clients lose cases for whatever reason, they generally take it out on the lawyer. He is very much "by the book" and doesn't cut corners. He helped us save money by having us sift through my parents documents. I think he is very smart and professional.

The reviews from 2 years ago still remain the same. We hired Sutherland 1 1/2 years ago to settle an estate from a family member. The only thing he did for that 1 1/2 was send emails to the other lawyer in the case. On a few occasions he even sent the same email a few months apart but would reword it and charge us for it. I would call and he would never return my call. I would email.... no response! Every time I called, his secretary would either say, Mr Sutherland is not in the office, or hes not available, or hes on the other line. She would take a message but it didn't help. We went months without any response. Then, he would make an ultimatum for a week out but never heard back from our lawyer. Lol. I can't understand where our money was used. Then we got fed up with our lawyer so I contacted the opposing lawyer hoping to end the frustration. The opposing lawyer helped me and sent all paperwork directly to me and we ended the case. Then a few days after we signed the final paperwork from the opposing lawyers office, Sutherland's paralegal emailed us and said, I guess this case is finalized. Ummmm yes it is no thanks to Sutherland. So, if you are looking to spend lots of money with no results... Sutherland is your man. If not, don't waist your money on him. He can talk a good game but does not show any results! TERRIBLE LAWYER! THIS IS WHY LAWYERS HAVE A BAD RAP!

Mr. Southerlands, only interest in our case was the money he was getting from us. We produced 2 witness' he interviewed on the phone and said it was not in the best interest of the kids to be around their father. He then had them take off work and drive 2 hours to not go in front of the judge. He rescheduled them to come back to go before the judge and still didn't do the right thing. He didn't request that his home be looked at or him and his girlfriend do drug testing as we all had to. Mr. Southerland said they went and did a drug test on their own and it was negative. Are you serious? Is he from the land of Waltons? He would assure us he was going to represent our daughter more aggressively and all he did was stand next to her and let the other attorney make all the requests. We could have stood in front of the judge and did what he did and saved our money. About 2-3 weeks in I asked for an itemized bill to see where we were we got the first papers of the judges rulings. We told Mr. Sutherland we no longer needed his services and he was more helpful in saying he would send the files to the new attorney and never did. We had to go to his office 2 weeks later to get the files and of course charged us. He never returned personal papers which the present lawyer may have like to seen. At this last visit getting our files I again asked for an itemized bill. Wow was I surprised that not only had he gone through the $2500.00 + $150.00 retainer money he added more chargers that went to over $1000.00 more with charges after the date we let him go.The lawyer we should have got was baffled that he didn't file any motions nor had he asked that the other party had to have DCF check out their home and a random drug test. This lawyer let 2 little boys go to their father without any kind of conditions. I would definitely NOT recommend Mr. Southerland for any kind of family law. He seemed more interested in eldercare as he always had to rush to see his next client which as he stated my client is trying to die. Very disappointed in this lawyer. He is the true definition of a legal thief. Save your hard earned money people.
