        Art is a personal endeavor. The art that I create is an extension of who I am. My canvas is my soul exposed. What I cannot verbalize, I express in a visual context. Art is a means of communication that appeals to everyone, whether or not he or she has a background in art. Art is tangible. Art has substance. Art speaks volumes that words cannot. Art is about trusting your own creative instincts. Creativity is about listening to your own internal dialogue on how to proceed. It is about throwing caution to the wind and using an assortment of media with carefree abandon. Art, in essence, is connected with that part of yourself that the world does not readily see. It is about tapping into what makes you vulnerable and afraid as well as happy and childlike. Art is about celebrating all that I am.
