2011 Weekly Kid's Music Program Curriculum
 Learning dozens of traditional and original songs that encourage participation
 Children will learn and thereby perpetuate the age-old tradition and heritage of American folk and kid's music as well as beginning new traditions with Peter's original sing-alongs and musical dancing games. Creating new original songs and new versions of familiar songs
 Some music sessions will be devoted to writing completely new songs or making up new verses for popular traditional songs.

We specialize in helping even timid kids to feel confident. Developing a healthy self-esteem. Musical self-expression undoubtedly leads to a proud understanding of artistic and creative ability and a strong self-image. Inspiring healthy peer interaction and cooperation
 Puka Music Instructors conduct each music session as an open forum guided by the same rules of participatory conduct as in grade school. Listening, sharing, turn taking, hand-raising and patience are qualities emphasized in the program. Introduction to and appreciation of many genres of music
 Participants will hear live and recorded examples of folk, rock, blues, jazz, classical, old-time, bluegrass, funk, hip-hop, rap and pop music. Introduction to basic music theory
 Each month, new concepts will be introduced including but not limited to: rhythm, rhyme, tempo, pitch, volume, melody and basic musical notation. Introduction to song structure and creation
 Occasional song writing workshops will develop a working understanding of the proper use of verse, refrain, bridge, intros, coda, piggybacking and much more. Developing fine and gross motor skills with traditional and original musical games
 Every session's core is a regiment of dancing songs designed to be great aerobic exercise, safe and fun for indoors or outdoors. Finger-play, hand, arm, leg, foot and body movement songs are a primary focus in baby and toddler sessions and still popular in Pre-K sessions. Hands on exposure to a wide variety of musical instruments
 Puka Music Instructors play and introduce for first hand strumming, plinking, banging and shaking: guitars, mandolin, violin, accordion, piano, keyboard, sampling synthesizer, drum machine, bongos, djembes, dumbeks, toms, snares, cymbals, shakers, maracas, rhythm sticks and more. weekly music and movement programs for senior citizens available. weekly Private music instrument instruction in your home. Music therapy for people with special needs available.
