Day lighting, also commonly referred to as sky lights, is a structure that allows light on the roof to travel to the interior of a building. Skylights are particularly useful in spaces that do not receive much natural daylight, you can also provide optimal distribution while minimizing glare and enhancing your architectural design.

Green roof membranes, also known as cool roof systems or garden roofs, are completely or partially covered with vegetation made possible by a growing medium over a waterproofing membrane. Green roofs may also include additional layers such as a root barrier and drainage, plus irrigation systems.
Tapered insulation systems help cut rooftop waste and provide excellent insulation while minimizing ponding water. Using a tapered insulation system will direct water away from common areas and serve its intended goal, which is to provide adequate drainage and insulation to dead-level roof decks.
Residential Roof Repair
Single-ply roofing membranes are factory-manufactured sheet membranes. They are commonly identified as either thermoplastic or thermoset. Thermoplastic materials can be repeatedly softened when heated and hardened when cooled. Thermoset materials stiffen, or “set,” permanently after heating.
Residential Roof Replacement/Installation
One of the most serious threats to your roofing system can be water. If you’re not fully equipped to handle storms and water damage, your commercial, industrial or residential property may be at risk. Our Porter Roofing experts will help ensure that your current roofing system is well-equipped to deal with potential water damage with our industry-leading waterproofing services.
Porter Roofing uses thermal imaging services to inspect roofs that may be vulnerable to the elements. When leakage occurs, insulation next to the roof can become wet. This wet insulation will then have a higher thermal mass than the rest of the dry roofing structure. Thermal imaging services help to find these wet areas to specifically target where a roof is vulnerable.
