Okolona Fire Department offers a variety of fire safety services to the community. It is operated by Jefferson County, and is located in Okolona, Ky. It organizes programs, including basic fire ground tactics, building construction, National Safety Council ambulance programs, and confined space awareness. It also offers emergency medical technician, and emergency and basic training. It provides various first aid educational programs for preventing fire injuries related to shock, eye injuries, burns, heat and cold emergencies, nosebleeds, poisoning and severe bleeding. It also organizes public education programs that include fire station tours, open houses and public demonstrations, block parties and displays of fire trucks in schools. The fire department has smoke and carbon monoxide detectors for various fire emergencies. It provides 24-hour fire security services to the community.
