I have a lot to say here, and I will not be bullied into removing my negative review for a SECOND time. The owner, Pepe, is not a good guy and to say I am simply unsatisfied with his services is an understatement. From lower than actual prices, to YELLING (yes, yelling and screaming at me), to trying to pull “fast ones” on me, he is not a man I would ever, ever recommend to do business with. First, he initially lured me into doing business with him by telling me that he would be able to do the job within the specific budget that I had. I needed new floors for my entire house, baseboards and a brand new kitchen – clearly a big ticket job in his eyes. Once the invoice comes around, however, the total of the job was more than $5,000 over what we had discussed before. That’s when I try to calm myself and believe that he’s not screwing me over and he had underbid the job. Being that hindsight is 20-20, looking back I wish I had listened to my gut telling me he was taking advantage of a “dumb girl” in his eyes. After my floors are installed, there is grout literally crusted and stuck onto my walls, my concrete outside, my garage floor. Just because my house is under construction does NOT make it a construction zone for you to treat as such. It is still my home and I shouldn’t have to spend $1,000 when your finished hiring a professional to remove the cement and grout from everywhere. Then, the baseboards were installed and let me tell you, to this day I look at them and I cringe. I’ve never seen such a crappy installation job. It honestly looks like 2 year olds put them on. Of course, at this point, I’m still extremely nice to Pepe and I beg and I plead with him for someone to come and clean them up because they are simply unacceptable. There was no caulking, there were gabs between the floors and the baseboards, there were corners sticking out…it just looked despicable. Finally, he sends two of his guys to come over and what do these shlumps do? They yell at ME! Yes, at ME and fight with ME In my own home that it’s “My fault.” Really, it’s MY fault they look like this? Arguing that I hired the wrong painters. I actually wrote down, WORD FOR WORD, what Pepe told me regarding the baseboards which I emailed to my painter: “they will be FULLY installed, PRIMED AND CAULKED. Only need a high gloss white paint one coat.” THEN, these baseboard guys have the stupidity to blame “my floor guy.” Um, hello! You represent my floor guy! ! Simultaneously, my granite had been installed the day prior and we noticed that there was already a crack in my granite. The fabricator informed me that he SPECIFICALLY called Pepe, the owner, and told him to reinforce the area around my cooktop because otherwise the granite would crack. At this point, I am living and I call Pepe and for the first time in 6 weeks I am not all nice and sweet. What does he do? LAUGHS at me, SCREAMS at me, and then HANGS UP THE PHONE on me. I was shaking I was so angry. What kind of “professional” behaves like an immature, bratty little child? When I’m the one left with cracked granite due to his laziness? What’s more, I think the cabinetry he provided me is crappy. It really, really is. . Finally, he tried to take even more shortcuts with me. I met with Pepe many, many times to discuss exactly what I wanted in my kitchen. I ordered, and I have my entire family as witnesses, a pull-out garbage can and a pull-out pantry. What did he do? Not deliver me those two things and was hoping I wouldn’t notice! And it almost worked.
