Provided by SuperpagesI was excited about doing business with a local person but thats as far as the excitement went. I was charged a 99$ fee for an inspection which I was never told about at first, nor does their website state this. The worker came to my house with his pants cut so much that you could see his underwear. Not so bad for me but my wife and 1 year old son were not appreciative.(I was sleeping after a nights work) When he left he crushed my landscaping rocks, which in a follow up email mcpuff never offered to come and fix. I wish i could post this email that was sent to me but it is too long. Basically it says that other contractors (plumbers/electricians) surely have come to my house dressed like this, and surely contractors have crushed my landscaping rocks and I would be getting no refund. Think before you decide to go with this company.

Provided by SuperpagesMcHorrible!!! About 4 years ago I contracted them to replace my chimney chase covers with stainless steel ones that would last a life time and not rust through like the ones I had. This was an expensive repair but I did it because they assured me it would last a lifetime, however they only offered a short guarantee for their work. My wife paid them while I was away and soon after one of the chimneys was leaking. They came out right away and fixed it??? I wondered how the new cover ever leaked in the first place but I forgot about it since they apparently corrected the leak. This winter I had a pellet stove installed in one of the fireplace and the installer reported a leak. He did what I should have done and went to inspect the chase cover. When he looked at it he was amazed to find out how terribly it was installed. McPuff had installed a chase cover with an opening for an 8" flu. However I have a 6" flu pipe. To make things worse the cover didn't even have a flange to seal against t

I know you cant really judge a service company based on your dog, but he doesnt like strangers. As soon as they got there they made sure were they where parked was ok and gave me an overview of what they were going to do. My Dog Max seemed ok with them. The service guy asked what was the best way to handle the dog because they were going in and out of the house. By the end Max was wagging his tail and seemed very happy. Very good service, price I thought was fair till I saw the job they did and its more than fair.

Listen, I have had my dryer vent and chimney done before by another company. I thought they did a good job, but WOW what a difference. I even called the other company to complain about the job they did compared to Mcpuff. All and all very friendly and even explained why I needed certain things and what I could do to make things safer. I recommended them to my mother and she asked that I throw in a Thank you as well for the job she had a her home.
