I placed an order for an inflatable 5days in advance and was told by the owner that there was a "One Time Only Deposit of $50 due now. But this deposit will be counted toward the total rental fee.". We have used this company before for various events and have never had a problem. Unfortunately, due to unforseen circumstances with a severly ill family member, I called the owner 3 days before the event to cancel. He THEN imformed me that the deposit is NON REFUNDABLE. And infact is it a "Non Refundable Booking Fee that is standard with ALL companies in case a customer has some TRAGEDY and has to cancel.". I reminded him that he never said it was non refundable. But that he said it was a partial payment deposit. He told me that he was sorry but its standard and non refundable. He was then contacted by another family member (who was paying for half of rental) regarding this and in fact APOLOGIZED "for not disclosingthe fact that the fee is non refundable but there still wont be a refund". My family member cancelled the rental. Like I said my husband and I have used J.U. several times over the course of 5yrs. He has lost our business...for good. He needs to disclose ALL info and clauses UP FRONT to his customers.
