DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, THEY ...

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, THEY ARE THE WORST MOVING COMPANY I HAVE EVER USED and we are a former military family with several moves under our belt. They were deceptive in their pricing, they scratched my oak table, and the wooden trim on one of my sofas, ripped a big hole in my leather sofa, their truck ran out of gas and stayed over night in our yard and finally, I have paid him and told him to deliver the ripped sofa that he was supposed to repair and over 2 weeks have passed and he plays games with returning phone calls and he is EXTREMELY DISHONEST! His price appear to be cheap, but his movers are UNPROFESSIONAL AND SO IS HE JAMIE BORRIS!

RUN, DON'T WALK! Do not use this company, I would have done better hiring a few guys and renting a UHaul truck, save yourselves the HEARTACHE AND DRAMA!

I used this company for my move and I am so glad I did. They were on time, professional, and patient. I was moving items from two places, then putting some in my new house and some in storage. I thought it would be a logistical nightmare but they managed to get everything exactly where it needed to be. The owner personally came out to my house to check on things and make sure I was satisfied.

I've had some bad experiences with other local moving companies in the past, so I was delighted to have friendly, knowledgeable service at such a great price. They charged me a lot less than I was quoted by several other places and they didn’t break or scratch a single thing. They really did a great job on my move and I’d recommend them to anyone.

They where very professional

I used Gentle Movers over the weekend. They were on time and very professional. The movers were very nice and polite. The owner was also on site. They wrapped all my antiques and moved them without a scratch. I would recommend trying this company. They worked 12 hours on my home. I will use them again.

**Do not use this company!**

My husband and I were moving 350 miles away to a different state. Jaime Borris gave us the best quote, but sometimes the lowest quote isnt the BEST quote. The truck was supposed to be at our house between 8am and 9am Saturday morning to load up, we have a 3 bedroom 1 1/2 car garage home fully furnished with two living rooms...a good amount of stuff. Well 9am came and went and we couldnt get a hold of Jaime. For hours we called and called and kept getting voicemail. FINALLY around 12N he called and said they were on their way...an hour and a half later the truck arrived. Apparently they couldnt find their truck??? Oh and it was supposed to be a brand new truck Jaime just bought but this thing was a mess with holes down the side and you could still see the graffiti they tried cleaning off. We had no other choice but to let them load up. Well being that they were 4 hours late this put them so far behind that they couldnt unload same day. So we made a plan to have them at our new place by 10AM Sunday morning. The story gets better! 10AM came and went, 12N came and went 2pm...4pm...5pm...No word from the movers, their cell phones went straight to vmail. Jaime was impossible to get a hold of and even when we did he didnt seem to CARE that his employees were unreachable with their clients life in tow. My husband and I were picking up our phones to call the police to report our things stolen, when our phone rang and it was one of the unloaders saying they were close, but LOST because they had no GPS. Please tell me, what moving company these days travels without a GPS? After a few conversations my husband had to actually go find them and bring them to our new place. This was at 630PM Sunday night. To top it all off, when my husband asked Jaime what was going on (obviously not a pleasant conversation at this point), Jaime told him - NOTHING is going on. So, what, being 8 1/2 hours late with no word from anyone is an OK way to run a business? Jaime seems to think so because he also thinks he should still charge us full price. Im also pregnant and all of that unnecessary stress was not good for my health or the baby's. Plus several of our pieces of furniture were scratched up. We heard stories that they were 8 1/2 hours late because they had to fire 1 guy, another story was they had to fire 2 guys. Another story was that they couldnt find the keys to the truck and had one of their guys driving around at 4am to try to find the guy with the key, which is odd because they were supposedly to have stopped in Colombia, SC to stay the night. None of these stories seemed to quite add up, we know that something happened, just not sure what and I doubt we'll ever know. It was a complete nightmare and I hope you heed my advice to steer clear of Gentle Movers of Charleston

Do not ever use this company! ...

Do not ever use this company! I used them to move a refrigerator (10 miles) and ended up paying twice what they quoted over the phone. The people who showed up were not professional movers, they want to push the refrigerator on the sidewalk on the little wheels that are on the bottom rather that use a hand truck. Also when I questioned the price and tried to call the office, no one answered (I tried for almost 2 hours). I left several messages but have not received an answer.
