Have had several vehicles repaired / serviced with G&M. Friendly people that really are there to do a great job no matter how small or how big. Gene or Dustin have always taken time to explain the problem and answer my questions. Car repairs are not always cheap but I know it is going to be fixed right when I take my vehicle here. I would postively 100% recommend anyone I know to take their vehicle to G&M!

Oil Change
The advantages: The filter is changed along with the fluid similar to an engine oil change and the vehicle is test driven and linkage and bands (if applicable) are adjusted. Usually, this service is done at a facility that has more knowledge about transmissions.

Transmission and Drivetrain

Transmission Service
A Transmission Service should be done every 50,000 miles as part of routine maintenance. It is not recommended for all cars, so please ask if your car would benefit from it.
Transmission Repair
Maintaining your vehicles today can represent a major investment. Therefore, it is financially important that you establish a relationship with a facility that you can trust and have confidence in. As far as transmission repair, I generally recommend ATRA shop. Or a shop that does it’s own transmission repairs not one that sends them to another shop to rebuild or repair (a shop that does transmissions full time).
Transmission Fluid Service
The total transmission flush involves hooking up a special unit to the cooler lines of a transmission and doing a complete exchange of fluid. The good news is that you can replace virtually all of the old fluid with new. The bad news is that occasionally there will be some material that is disturbed and contaminates the valve body. Also, the filter is not changed because the pan is not removed, nor are you able to “read” any wear material residue that has accumulated in the bottom of the pan.

Body/Collision Repair
If caught early enough, the valve body wear can be repaired and the transmission will work well. However left unattended, the torque converter will have to be replaced along with the valve body repair. (This will be evidenced by blue heat marks on the torque converter housing.)

In late model, computer controlled applications, the electrical system will need to be modified since the normal feedback to the computer will not be available with the 350/400.
