Choosing Dan Bumgargener and Thomas Greeson who work and run Calhoun Commercial Construction was worst choice to build a house with. As soon as the construction began Dan did not inform me of any of the sub-contractors and their price to do the work. It would be after the work was done by the sub-contractor I would know how much that specific job was going to be. Throughout the whole constitution process it was the same. I would have to meet up with all the Sub-Contractors and get a detailed price. Speaking of sub-contractors, he had the worst. The Sub-Contractors that he had just simply did not do what they were paid for. My family and I would constantly have to be on the job site dealing with the sub-contractors which Dan and Thomas were doing. I also had to find some sub-contractors myself as Dan and Thomas did not know of anybody to make cabinets. The original cabinet manufacturer just bailed out and did not build the cabinets. None of the sub-contractors he had did a good job. The main slab had rough spots in it, the framers didn't clean up after themselves, the plumbers and electricians charged almost a dollar more than what was going on in the market, the sheetrock did not sand down the walls correctly, The trim installers took over 4 weeks to install the trim, the painters ruined my stairs by using the wrong coat of stain and did not do a good job with fixing the imperfections. Whenever I would tell them to tell their sub-contractor to do their job right he would always make some type of excuse. As of right now, it had been 15 months since we have moved in and I have cracked walls and water leaking into my house. I tried contacting them and they came by to "look at the problems" and all they did is take pictures of the work that my sub-contractors did such as the bathrooms and kitchen and left. I never got a reply back from them after I have tried contacting the numerous amounts of time.
