Overall
Bonza Landscaping and Hardscap...

Bonza Landscaping and Hardscaping recently designed and installed a beautiful paver patio for the back of my house. David, the owner, came out and spent time with me helping to design a plan that allowed me to incorporate everything on my wishlist. When it came down to the details and I was unsure of a choice, his experience and knowledge were evident. Anytime I had a question, David was quick to respond. I was glad that I listened to his suggestions, because the end result was better than I had imagined.

His crew was professional and friendly...and very meticulous. They worked tediously to ensure that every detail was perfect. It is clear that all of them take pride in what they do. The patio was completed right on time, as David had promised.

While the work was being done, my next door neighbor approached me and asked to take a look. He was so happy with the work that he saw being done that he asked Bonza Hardscaping to design and install a patio for him when they were done here.

Thank you for doing such a great job - we couldn't be happier!!

Overall
Bonza Landscapes designed my e...

Bonza Landscapes designed my entire front yard, side yard and new patio and plantings in the rear yard. Before Bonza came I had some very wild and overgrown plants that the builder installed. My walkways and patios were all that stamped concrete material. I called Bonza Landscapes because they did a great job on the next street over on Dodds Lane in Gladwyne. I also called a few other landscape companies in the area to compare prices. The quotes all varied, from obnoxiously overpriced to cheap and no warranty. Bonza's pricing was very fair and they even gave me a free design, that I never paid for to give me an idea of what the gardens and patios would look like. They also had a warranty on the patio and gardens which was super nice.

When they did the work, the guys were all nice and super friendly. David, the owner was out with the guys for most of the day and frequently emailed me to let me know progress etc. They also finished the work a week sooner than expected and David even threw in a firepit since I went with all three projects, the back, front and side which is nice at night with my husband and kids.

Overall, very satisfied! The quality is amazing, the plants aren't dinky and small and the service was excellent. Thanks Bonza Landscapes!

Bonza walked off the job.

He committed in an email to figure out what was owed us for work paid for and not done and to send us a check. After some email exchanges he said he would get back to me and never did.

Actually, he’s a nice guy and I hate to review him badly. But I think people should know the good and the bad as they make choices of contractors. The bad experience with Bonza Landscaping cost us a fair amount of money and time, and a lot of stress.

I'm glad you stated that I'm a nice guy because I did make many attempts to explain to you why we did walk of the job. Your designer who we did do many jobs for over a 5 or 6 year time period was to blame. I forwarded emails from the designer saying delays were caused by you (the customer). I personally walked you to a job around the corner from your house in which he/she walked away from and we finished. We just finished another job she was pushed off of last week! You were taken advantage of by a designer of a poorly laid out design, that he/she changed many times on a whim. I've seen pictures of the finished job, and it is NOT what he/she wanted us to do! I refuse to name the designer and company, but I know what kind of work we do compared to theirs. As far as the 50% deposit you gave, I will have an itemized list sent to you this week. The deposit covered all of the removal, materials and added materials that was another idea of the designer. Not to mention the labor. My company does a complete and understandable design before a job is started, it isn't scribbled on paper and changed every day. It's a shame you were fooled by the designer. You have an area of under 200 square ft. and an architect was brought in? The designer wanted to drive to the mountains for boulders and charge you for his/her time? I could send you a dozen names of clients that saw through his/her bull, and it still wouldn't sink in. I didn't make a dime on this job, but your designer did. The only thing I'm sorry about is that we couldn't convince you that your designer took advantage of you.
