American Local Locksmith

These guys are not a locksmith company. They are a nationwide company that takes in calls and sends them out to unlicensed illegal locksmiths.
I called in for help with getting a new key made for my 02 dodge neon, the guy took 2+ hours to show up after saying only 20 minutes about 4 different times when I called to see where he was.. then he gets there and seems to be getting frustrated an hour and a half or 2 into the job... about 4hours into the job he produced 2 keys, he cut 2 different keys to my car from what he said was from different sources, however, neither key worked in the doors or the ignition. He charged me $500 NOT to make the key and then left.
Then I called another local company who is reputable, the locksmith showed up in about 30-45 minutes and were able to tell me the ignition and locks had been changed on the car so he decoded my door lock with a special tool and had my key made in less than a half hour... cut, programmed and back on the road!
Don't use American Local LOCKSMITH, they are going to rip you off. You will be lucky if they don't mess something up, if they can even get through the job you have for them.

Not an actual Locksmith company, just a call center. DO not use them! Very shady service, never give you an actual price and send random people to complete service.

I went searching for a new locksmith for the building I manage in Greenpoint after the famous local shop pissed me off one too many times. Henrry was friendly, knowledgeable, and quick. Great service from American Local Locksmith. I needed a lock repaired and even though it wasn't urgent they were able to come out the same day. The locksmith was fast, professional, and did the job right. The price seemed fair. I would definitely use American Local Locksmith again!

These guys are totally professional and truly good people. It's a flat rate, Yader showed up perfectly on time and changing the lock took him 2 seconds.

I'd highly highly recommend this service. If anything, it'll give you a little more faith in the world.

Fantastic experience with American Local Locksmith. They were very flexible with our schedules, and once the locksmith arrived he was knowledgable, highly skilled, and very pleasant to be around. Also, he worked very quickly, and our locks were changed within probably 20 minutes, and he went out of his way to explain the services that were being provided. They almost make me want to lock myself out of my house more often just so I can deal with them more often!

Jerry of American Local Locksmith came by to fix our main door lock. We were cringing, expecting the word that we were going to have to replace the lock with a new one at $1,500! Jerry made adjustments, oiled the mechanism, and it seems as good as new. And the price was pretty reasonable! Good going, American Local Locksmith! You're on our list of go-to people.

They charged me $140.00 for 15 seconds to open my car door. I was at the grocery store with a back full of groceries. They took total advantage of my situation. I called several other places when I arrived home and found that it could have been done for half the price. Unfortunately I had locked my phone in the car as well so I was at the mercy of the stores phone. Beware of this company

I had the best experience you can have after locking yourself out and having to pay someone to open your door. I hope I never go through that again, but I'll definitely be calling these American Local Locksmith if I do! Fast and cheap price.

Finding a locksmith without shady business practices is like finding a needle in a haystack. However, Tom and his business are truly just that! I moved into my new condo a few months ago and kept slacking on adding a deadbolt. Having heard that there were rumored break-ins in my building, I knew it was time to get the deed done. Early on Saturday morning I scanned Online for a reputable locksmith company and came across Local Locksmith. I filled out the online form and Tom responded to me in about 30 minutes. He was already in our area that morning and could be at my place within the hour. Seriously??? Bonus points! When he showed up, he explained the lock he would add to my door and the extra security it would provide. He was extremely professional and made me feel at ease the whole time he was doing the job.

Tom, your company is the BEST and I will certainly be using word of mouth to let people know about your company.

I just moved to a new place and I noticed that previous tenant had been coming back to get his mail. So I figured why not change the mailbox lock and also get the locks to my door re-keyed. The mailbox lock was easy to swap out by myself. But for the re-keying I needed a pro. I checked Online and the only one I found around me with reputable ratings was Local Locksmith.

I called in the morning while waiting for cable guy (who was late as expected) and sure enough they had availability for late afternoon and gave me a fixed price for the job. Dave said he could be there around 5:30 or 6. Fine by me. I get a call from Dave at 4:30 saying he can make it even earlier. Great!!! He shows up at 4:45. The work was quick despite problems with my fancy Omnia locks. He gets the job done and I'm good to go. He even grinded the deadbolt hole to make the lock easier to turn. Great service and I'll be sure to contact them anytime for any locksmith services.

Had to update this - a couple nights after Mike fixed the cylinder lock, I had trouble getting in (turns out my door and inside lock needed to be replaced). I called Mike to see if he could assist. I was eventually able to get myself in, but Mike still insisted on coming by to see if there was any further adjustments he could make.

He eventually replaced the entire inside lock with a spare (which he didnt' have to do), made some adjustments to how the lock hits my door frame and didn't charge me anything for his time in doing this. Let me stress that Mike had already fixed the cylinder lock the first time; this extra work was his awesome and generous service in full effect.

I cannot remember the last time I had service this great. Local Locksmith are the BEST!!!!

Being locked out is such a horrible experience but American Locksmith Service have the key to making you feel so much better: empathy, kindness, quickness and just overall being awesome and at a great price too!

Ben is quick and professional. Doesn't ask any extra questions or pry, which made me feel comfortable. This is really how you want a locksmith securing your home to act, isn't it? Total opposite of the overly solicitous manager of my apartment who gives off a total creepy vibe... and necessitating the lock in the first place. It was bound to happen. Four days into my brand new apartment and I get locked out when I'm letting the IKEA delivery guy into my building. Though I'm glad I chose to wear shoes, I had nothing besides (thankfully) my cell phone in tow so the first thing I did was call Local Locksmith.
We had met before and I'd heard great things but he truly is a miracle worker. Despite the short notice and his busy work schedule, he made time for me and showed up thirty minutes later at my door. It took him about 10 seconds to get into my apartment. Aside from my concern over how easy it was for him to break in, I was incredibly grateful. Service with a smile and efficient work.

Now, let's just hope he doesn't change careers and go criminal -- that dude has skills when it comes to getting through locked doors!

These guys are great - they're going by Local Locksmith.

I needed a lock swapped out, I put in a request for a quote online and got a pretty quick response, John pinged me right away and scheduled a time to get the work done. When they ran late, I was updated periodically via their blackberry. I wish UPS and cable were so diligent.

They analyzed my old lock and door, made recommendations and gave me an option. The work is solid and great service.
