Alternative Paths is a private, nonprofit community mental health agency that is located in Medina, Ohio. It provides a range of behavioral health services for adults diagnosed with severe and persistent mental illnesses, as well as general mental health concerns. The agency specializes in the treatment of schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety disorders, phobias, and other serious mood and thought disorders. The agency offers psychiatric emergency services 24 hours, seven days a week to all individuals in Medina County in Ohio. It has a team of specially trained and experienced emergency therapists and psychiatrists. Alternative Paths serves clients through a variety of resources, such as the Medina County Alcohol, Drug Addiction, and Mental Health Board; Medicaid; Medicare; private insurance; donations; and client self-pay based on an assessment of income and family on a sliding fee scale.
