Marcy started seriously writing a couple of years ago (working on several novels as the ideas came to her) and planned to attend a Christian Writers Seminar but never made it. She then entered a couple of short stories in contests, but didn't win anything. She had one of her short stories critiqued and although was told it was a little flat (the characters weren't developed - of course not - it was a short story!), they did say they thought she had great potential. So, she completed her first story, submitted it to 3 or 4 publishers and received an e-mail from Publish America telling her they wanted to publisher her novel! Then the work really began (just kidding) - They sent her an 8 page contract, covering everything from book signings to movie rights, to her rights to the production plates once they stopped printing the book. They also advanced her $1! This was in April 2008. Then, she had to proof-read it once, have someone else do the same, make all the changes and send it back to them by August 1st, 2008. Then, they put it in book format and sent it to her for review. She had to read it line by line for any changes or typos; she found a few plus they split a few sentences. Anyway, once she sent that back to them, they said the cover design department could take 3 or 4 weeks; it came in 3 days (the final book form was submitted just 4 days before that) and now it's been published!
