The Donut Man

I haven't had donuts this good since I moved from Maine. They are dense recipe and have very good taste. The owner cut a sour cream and a buttermilk into smaller pieces so my friends (4 other ladies) and I could sample them. We all liked Shannon the counter woman. I highly recommend it.

Don't ever go there. I have never been in trouble with the law and the girl I yelled at because she didn't give us our cream cheese or a receipt and overcharged the purchase called the police because she didn;'t like how I talked to her. Well first of all she was neglectful of us as customers. She didn't smile when we were first there and then she never apologized for being out of the most popular donut choclate cream pie. Me and a friend went there for 2 bagels, one cream cheese, and the last two cream pies left. The total was about 8.59. The day before I had gone and gotten 6 donuts, 2 bagels and two cream cheese and the total was 9.11. Yeah I knew that the 6 was suppose to save money but that attitude she had of being unfriendly like we were interrrupting whatever she was doing in the back and then not being helpful turned me off instantly so I walked away and then my friend and I discussed the price again to figure out why was it so much. We left went back to our hotel. He opened the bag to eat the first bagel and went to get the cream cheese out and said she didn't give me my cream cheese after I even asked her ,"Did you give me my cream cheese?" She said, "It's in the bag." I tried to find the number to call and complain but it wasn't in the phone book in the room. Then I checked my receipt from the day before it wasn't there either. I was extremely mad. Had to go back there. Again the girl was not at the counter. She was somewhere else. My friend spotted her and now it was my turn to get as rude as I could. I said, "You need to get over here and give us our cream cheese." She said, :"Excuse me?

I said you didn't give us our cream cheese we paid extra for and you didn't give us a receipt and you overcharged. She wouldn't give in about anything. I screamed even louder. The cook came out looking around. I'll say he seemed nice acted like he was not surprised about her getting yelled at. Then she insisted by saying, "I put it in the bag." Then, stupidly saying," I didn't put one in your bag?" I said no ! My friend said, " We wouldn't have come back here if it was. Then the cook said "Are you going to give it to them. She said, "No, remember putting it in there. Then my friend said some not so nice curse words. She said to the cook I"m calling the cops as she had a huge smile on her face. I said "YOu like drama. She called the police and they acted like she was bothering them. Then she lied and said she had told me to back off which I said to her uyour a liar and a thief. My friend said lets go. I said no let the police come. All in all they checked our id's which I knew were clean and I told my side. The cop said they said I was banned forever then said Sorry to me and I said there is nothing to be sorry for. I don't care about this place. I threw the donuts away later and my friend said his bagels were old. What a joke. That girl thought she was going to just treat me how she wanted. She has long dark hair she is about 5'8, fat at the waist and has a big face. Looks about 20's and when she tries to act like she is in a hurry she is really moving slow. Lazy Lying Thief is all she is will probably always be a loser. I know her time is coming I will tell all my family and friends, NEVER GO THERE Krispy Kreme and Dunkin are way better service. My prediction is they will be closed in a year and that girl will be I won't say where! Now I'm off to BBB website to file a complaint against them. Looks like the review ahead of mine is almost the same. How ironic. If normally nice people are going off enough for them to call the police then it's not the customer it's the employees who haven't learned Customers Come first over all your duties you stop and go wait immediately on them and Customers are always right which is what Sears operates on and have been in business over 130 years.

The Donut Man is a good shop for doughnuts and coffee. The only problem you'll probably encounter during the whole trip would be the part where you have to actually interact with the person behind the counter. In paticular, an older, larger woman with big glasses and an accent. This woman is one of the rudest people I've ever had the misfortune of coming across before. Check your receipt with her because she'll charge you for expensive things you didn't order and if you're in the drive-thru, she'll just shut the window in your face in the middle of your sentence. And heaven forbid you pick up food for someone else from some other restaurant and the Donut Man is your second stop to get food for yourself. That happened to me and that same lady was there and she told me that she didn't have to serve me what so ever because we had brought in a bad from another place, "We had no right to even be in the building". That's going beyond extremely poor customer service and crossing into the realm of straight up mean and almost illegal. If she had actually told us to leave, I would have involved the police. And I did have to involve the police on another occasion when she charged me for something over double the price of what I had ordered and she refused to fix it or give me my money back. I was literally feet from the policeman who was just outside the door when she finally called me back to her gave me my money back.

My advice in the end.... Avoid this place completely if you don't have extremely high tolerance for people being rude to you and getting your order and bill wrong.
