Mai Alterations

I dropped 7 dress shirts off on 1/18, and she asked me to pay for the alterations up-front which is understandable. She said they would be ready on 2/2. That seemed a little long, but I just assumed she was busy.



I came back on 2/6 to pick them up, but she said they wouldn't be ready for another week. Confused, I referenced the 2/2 pick-up date on my receipt, and she just gave me a passive "sorry" and sent me on my way.



So I come back the following weekend (2/13), to pick up the shirts, and they are actually ready this time. Since I had already paid up-front, I politely asked if I would still be charged the full amount even though she was 2 weeks late on her original commitment. She defensively stood by the full charge even after I explained the inconvenience this whole process had caused me.



She simply shrugged her shoulders, and gave me her same passive "sorry". It's safe to say she will not be receiving anymore of my business, and I'd advise you not to give her any of yours.

do not use. I took my daugther's $1000 prom dress to add a little length due to her height. Mai took the measurements and assured me she could complete the work. It took over 14 days and when I received the dress it was not long enough. When I asked to have more length added she indicated I would need to pay more money. It was her responsibility to measure the length correctly. It was disappointing that she was not willing to correct to ensure we were happy with the service. in addition, she requires full payment prior to alterations which is an issue when the work is not completely properly. Please use someone else but no Mai's alterations. The work is ok but the service to ensure you are satisfied with the work is horrible.
