Second Time Around

I disagree completely with the other review. This place is fascinating! Every time I visit Mount Vernon I make an effort to stop by because it is so much fun to browse. The name is not prominently displayed so to find it look for the balcony with cascading flowers. The store has a unique organization which gives it an almost museum like feel. The reasonably priced items are lovingly and creatively organized by type: mid century modern, western, kitchen, books, garden, tiny trinkets...and more. There is a basement section which is my favorite part! For creative people, it is a treasure trove of possibilities. The shop passed the hardest test! My husband liked it.

This place is a rathole. The place is stuffed full of rubbish priced like high end items and it smells like a nursing home. I can't believe this place can stay open, I was actually looking for a housewarming gift for my daughter's new Victorian house in town and couldn't even find one thing that looked decent. Very disappointing store!!!!
