Brown County Community Unit School District 1 serves the educational needs of students in grades kindergarten through 12. The district governs various elementary, middle and high schools, including Brown County Elementary, Brown County Middle and Brown County High School. It offers classes in agriculture, auto mechanics, business, English, family and consumer science, fine arts, foreign language, career education, industrial technology, mathematics, science and social science.
